Youtube automatically subtitles you in Dutch (turn on captions). I especially liked the "chinchilla die crisis". Now I can't stop wondering what a chinchilla die crisis would be like.
It's the combination of the accent with the rather noisy background soundtrack, I think. I understood it on the second listen, although I missed some words the first time, despite not being Scottish, he just seems to be accented rather than actually speaking dialect. It probably helps if you know what 'neds' are!
Poor kid, sounds like he's come from a pretty tough place and I suppose the 'near incomprehensible' voice will not make it that much easier for him to find another path. :-/
I occasionally meet people down here in the Westcountry whose dialect is so strong that I can't work out what they are saying even though I grew up here. Actually, maybe you would like some of that for contrast: here are the wonderful April and June (though I have met people with stronger accents!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwFeZZcCdLA
The autotranslate knows they are speaking English but it's attempt to caption them is soooooo wrong!
