Three steps behind his bride
May. 2nd, 2016 05:09 pmWe stopped in this town to stock up on water and food and saw this wedding procession. This part of Transylvania is mostly Hungarian.
The groom walks three paces behind the bride and is looking straight into my camera.

Date: 2016-07-09 09:21 pm (UTC)Yes, they must be the father and the (future) father-in-law with the bride and the mother and the (future) mother-in-law with the groom.
I think the first man is the "vőfély", the Master of Ceremonies, the coordinator of the wedding (more about him and his role: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V%C5%91f%C3%A9ly)
This wedding march is really traditionally, I live in Budapest, and we don't organize weddings like this :-)
