We stopped in this town to stock up on water and food and saw this wedding procession. This part of Transylvania is mostly Hungarian.
The groom walks three paces behind the bride and is looking straight into my camera.

He was taking care of the traffic at crossroads (raised his hand and asked the drivers to stop) and generally was making sure nothing gets in the way of the procession.

And all accompanied by a fiddler and accordionist! Were they playing at the time? It appears so.

Yes, they were playing indeed (violin, accordion and trumpet).

What a cool wedding idea! But where is the bride's veil? That's the only thing missing.

Well spotted! I have no idea.
We went to a wedding in Moldova once and they took the veil off at certain point in a separate mini-ceremony and the bride was without it for the rest of the wedding. Maybe they did something similar here before this procession.

It did put the smiles on our faces indeed. The groom seems to be resisting it though ).

He's probably a bit petrified. Getting married... and those three big guys up front must be bride's dad's and uncles/brothers. :-D Still, I looked at the photo and could hear the music.
Since she's still walking with her male relatives and not the groom I would say they might be heading to the church... and perhaps mom is somewhere in back with the veil. ??? At least that's the way I'd write it. ;-)

I think you are right, this is probably before the veil not after as I suggested below.
I think that the men next to the bride are the bride's and groom's fathers and the women next to the groom are the two mothers?

Hmm, could be. We will never know - but it looks like it might well be so. :-)

Now we do, one Hungarian LJer confirmed it was indeed so:

Yes, they must be the father and the (future) father-in-law with the bride and the mother and the (future) mother-in-law with the groom.
I think the first man is the "vőfély", the Master of Ceremonies, the coordinator of the wedding (more about him and his role: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V%C5%91f%C3%A9ly)
This wedding march is really traditionally, I live in Budapest, and we don't organize weddings like this :-)
