I am the way (the only way is up)
Apr. 27th, 2016 01:59 amThis was in Moldova. We visited it briefly after our road trip through Transylvania last summer.
We were walking from one village to another through the woods. Just after we got out of the woods we saw a monastery and went in to refill our water bottles and look around. When we were leaving the monastery I approached a monk to ask through which gate we should leave to go to our destination village. He did not even let me speak, as soon as I opened my mouth he just waved his hand to the right and up and said "Up, up, the way for you is up. Go right behind here and then up, up. That is the way. Up, up, up." We turned right on the corner of the building and there was indeed an entrance there and it was leading up.

I bet this place has alot of interesting stories.
