Fantastic! How do you find these scenes? Even a film director wouldn't stage it better. ("And now - the man with the tree! I said, the man with the tree! Go! Camera!...")

Reminds me of the time I had to carry a box spring a few blocks back to the pawn shop where I bought it because it snapped in half on me after two weeks.. They still charged me more for a new one.
Sigh.... This avenue used to have small trees all along! It was beautiful... The trees did barely exist for 10 years or so. Then.. they decided these greeneries were causing problems (different rumours, like the underground pipe system getting damaged / security camera's views being blocked)... And now - a plant... carried along the road... makes such a weird feeling, to a local like me. (Did you feel "they" do not really like trees ?)
I did not feel that they did not like trees there but I think Istiklal could definitely use some trees. They solve the pipes and CCTV problems everywhere in the world somehow, it should be possible for Istanbul, the largest city in Europe to do so too I guess. One of my Russian readers just told me that they were getting the trees in Moscow's (second largest city in Europe after Istanbul) main avenue back now, many years after they got rid of them there (also because of pipes, etc).
