I took quite a lot of pictures around Great Portland Street before the parade itself on my way to Paris, I will post a longer report later this week.

I discovered that I was a hit with people dressed as dogs and horses for some reason. Too bad it is such a small "market niche" and one I absolutely cannot relate to.

One drag queen challenged me to see who was taller, they took off their heels and we checked, I won very comfortably (I am 6'7").

Yes, on those giant platform shoes they would have been, but probably only because of the wig anyway, ha ha.

My brother is 6'7" and I am 5'4" (I'm adopted, he's biological, and my adoptive parents are both over 6 feet), so growing up was fun. If I ever met you IRL I suppose I would be one of the few people who wouldn't be phased by your height. :)

One of my brothers is also 6'7" and his wife is around 5'1". The first kiss required some serious planning ).

I get all the dressing up in flashy colorful shiny clothes and showing off their fabulousness..but dogs and horses? 

I think it's great to have a parade to celebrate love. 

World needs more love parades.

Yeah, human dogs and horses were a bit "wow" to watch. There was even one human cat with "Pussy" written on the guy's chest and a full head coverage leather cat mask. And unlike the dogs he wasn't on a leash.

Were the dog and horse people wearing costumes like sports mascots / Disney kind of costumes, or were they not so much? Maybe I'll find out in future photos from you.

I did not see "dogs" in Disney style costumes, most of them were leather / rubber masks and costumes, some quite elaborate. Some of them were walking on all fours on a leash with pads on their hands and knees. There was someone in a Disney style costume of some princess with "SLUT" crown on their head and a cigarette sticking out of their mouth though.

Hi there, random strangers are most welcome, I am often one myself.
No, I was only able to be there during the preparations for the parade one hour before they started marching so I don't think I saw them.
Being there before the parade was actually more interesting and much more comfortable. The paraders were standing in a huge line and I was walking by them freely and could even get in whenever I wanted (they let people who wanted to cross the road in) and then get out to the pavement again and keep walking.

Luckily I am a top tier frequent flyer with enough miles to take me around the globe a couple of times by now (thanks to my job). They usually give me those front row seats in economy with more space in front. And I generally buy or upgrade myself to business for flights over 3.5 hours.
