She looks serious. Reminds me of myself at around that age going to the corner store to get milk or butter. My mom would give me money and I'd walk to the corner store. I usually end up getting penny candy with the change.
They never asked any of my brothers and I to do that at that age. We would eat / drink half of it if not everything on the way back and would share the rest with the rest of our gang.
