Singapore was recently ranked as the world’s most expensive city and BBC pulled this article to their front page again.

This, as usual = such a gorgeous photo!

What are your own thoughts about Singapore? And what brings you to all these amazing cities!

Thank you. Like with any city, some things I like, some less so.
It is my work that takes me places.

It is true for any city to some extent I guess. But yeah their methodology is strange. I think they focus on the upper slice. I remember the year when Luanda came on top. Btw Singapore really hates being placed at no 1 and disagree with it. I remember they even had a voting installation at ORQ MRT asking people to vote if they agreed or not that Singapore was the most expensive city in the world. Last time I saw it, about 80% agreed. But then ORQ is full of expat bankers and tourists.

Just look at the skyline on this photo. It wasn't as packed even a decade ago. There will be one day where overcrowding really takes over the country, just like current Hong Kong prime areas, and people can't wait to get out. It's sad, really. Not like there's huge lands as well for people to move to 'suburbs'.

I don't think Singapore will suffer the fate of Hong Kong in this respect. Singapore seems to be much smarter about how they build the place up?

Yah I sure hope so. Although whenever we think about the preparation made for a possible 6.9million population, can't help but worry.
