If cats could fly

The city of Iasi (pronounced Yash), the capital of the Romanian part of Moldova is slowly getting taken over by the statues of cats. They are all different but all are close to the real size. Some of them are within reach and you can touch them, like this one:



Some of them have wings and are high up like these nice blue ones. I like that couple of pigeons watching them. Seeing these two plunged me into a long daydreaming session about the world where cats could fly.

Interesting idea to decorate and refill a city with the pleasure and joy, passing by people will always watchful to see how their loved ones statues looks with the change of weather and will positively transform in turn the mood of the observing...

I knew it cats are plotting world domination.  They are having statues erected all over the world. 

Mind you I can think of worse overlords then cats-like Orangutans named Trump.

Is it some kind of official art installation or just coincidental? In the US some cities have programs where they have artists make designs on something (dolphins, couches, cows, etc) and the different designs are all over the city.
