Can you describe what your thesis or dissertation (Master's, Ph.D., M.Phil, etc) was about in up to three sentences or even better in one sentence?

Something like:

When a tree falls in the forest, do ants care? Depends on the forest.

Or

Sometimes two lasers are better than one but it is not always obvious when.

I didn't do any such thing, sorry!
But I got two Christmas stories published in the local newspaper, and my "Hamlet" with action figures even was in the Shakespeare magazine. Does that count as well? ;)

Sure ). Go on, try to sum up any of those stories in one sentence (or three sentences if that is hard.)

Okay, let's try this! The first was really hard to get short.

1st: Santa Claus still caring and each year checking in on children he used to know that have long grown up. Will he be able to change their life for the better?

2nd: How many titles of Christmas songs can I fit into one story?

Hamlet: A lot of misunderstandings lead to a lot of deaths.

Explanation: The two Christmas stories actually started out as fanfictions. Each year we all would write a Christmas story for our fandom (one is Stargate, the other Torchwood) for our annual Advent calendar. Every time it was surprising to see that there is still a new idea to find for the theme. The newspaper wanted only a short story so I shortened it down and changed some bits. The original actually gives an answer to how he changed their lifes to the better in the next year, by making them celebrate together instead each of them alone.

And the other year I let myself inspire by a list of Christmas songs I had written down, to see in which other context they could be used. It was great fun. I did it twice even, once in German and once in English. I made it as a riddle and readers had to see how many songs they could find.
