Can you describe what your thesis or dissertation (Master's, Ph.D., M.Phil, etc) was about in up to three sentences or even better in one sentence?

Something like:

When a tree falls in the forest, do ants care? Depends on the forest.

Or

Sometimes two lasers are better than one but it is not always obvious when.

I guess that's just the topic but what did you find out in the end?

Depending on the orientation of the house and main rooms most families would do with the space allocated (and sometimes may not use some of the rooms in any "accepted" way (ie transform a bedroom into a sweat room) or in extreme case, they would live outside the house, arranging spaces as they want it (sometimes in tents) and keeping the house as a storage unit.

Others were not connected enough to their original culture (sent to orphanages, schools away from reservation, adopted, etc...) and therefore used the space as it was intended by contemporary designers...
