Liking spree or gang liking?

With the new 'Like' feature on, I feel like going on a liking spree. Liking say, all the entries on the first page in all the journals in the first three pages of the LJ rating list.

Or maybe we should gang like someone. Just pick a random journal, say first from the top on page X of the rating (and then go up until we find an active public journal, which might take a while) and just mass like all the entries on the first page in that journal.

As you can see I am not sure what to do with this "Like" thing yet but I feel I should do something. I think I will go on a liking rampage one way or another sooner rather than later.

Sadly the app does not yet appear to have the like function. I like the like function! Sometimes I like what people have to say, but I don't have a meaningful response.

They need a "poke" button. 

I want to go on a poking rampage.  I mean Facebook has a poke button.  Live journal needs a poke button.

Also maybe a kick, kiss, hug, slap, etc buttons. Oh, emojis take care of those I think.

Yes a few emojis would be good.  Something to cover a range of reactions to posts. 

I mean licking and kissing my screen can get kind of awkward when I'm using my cell phone in public to access LJ.   I've gotten a few glances.

I notice the 'liking spree' on my Instagram account. It's almost as though that's how they get you to notice them, because their username will come up in succession. That said, I also like the idea of being able to like a post without necessarily having anything to say.

I like the function too, the more flexibility the better. I just feel I need to do something with it like I usually do whenever I get something new. I might embark on a liking spree then, will include you in it.

Yeah, there are a lot of times friends post things I don't feel like I can comment on intelligently, but I'd like them to know I read it.

I also do not get notifications of likes received even though I have it ticked in settings. I can see them under my entries though.

Ah Ha! I've now got to the point where I can see the heart on your own page....so I think its now down to my page design that's stopping me seeing it.

I'm not a big fan of this new feature... I think it doesn't make sense here and people will stop commenting and stop reading... LJ is a place for dialogue! I think that this feature suits to places like instagram, facebook and tumblr... but not here!
