Limits of bromance

Because of the rain this market in Novi Sad was almost empty. This seller of mobile phones tried to give his neighbour, the butcher a bit of neck / back of the head massage.



But the butcher was like "WTF, man?" and was having none of it.

They both just looked bored and the cell phone seller just reached to the butcher's neck all of a sudden ).

And I like how the butcher's ears are huge and are at least twice the size of the cell phone seller's. It is especially noticeable in the second shot. You would think it should be the other way around ).

Cultures that don't encourage physical contact between men - except in sport or fighting.

I found that although the culture in Serbia is very traditional, patriarchal and macho, close physical contact between men is way more OK there than it is in many western cultures. For example, men kiss each other on the cheeks when they greet each other or as a "bye" all the time.

Ah that's quite European. They do the same here in France and Italy. At range how the Germans and English cultures are so averse.
