It needs some joy on it

Ioana, one of the village's grannies thought that her gate looked boring and wanted "some joy on it". So a bunch of girls came over to her place one Friday after school and did this.

Ioana is very happy with the result and says that the gate "looks much happier now".

That is such a happy gate! I love it. The girls have done a great job. It's very consistent in style too, I wonder if they learn a particular style of painting at school, or if they are just very used to working together?

I think they do learn it in school, I saw many drawings they brought from school in the same style. They planned this properly on paper first (a very quick rough sketch of what goes where). One of the girls is considered particularly good at drawing and she took charge and managed the whole process. She finished off almost every part of it. The youngest ones got simpler jobs like "fill all of this with white" for example (and then the older one would move in to add creases and shades). Boy, this kids know how to work as a team.

I read in your profile that you are from UK and was suprised to see such pictures. At last I saw a tag Moldova and that put everything to its place.

Yes, I don't have much info in my profile. I am half Danish half Norwegian and I live in London.
We have been working on a reforestation project we started in Moldova for a couple of months now. It is fun.
