Guardians of the village

[topum]

These guys guard the entrance to the village and make a lot of noise and chase everyone entering the village except their owners. There is no chance to sneak into the village from the forest unnoticed when these guys are on patrol. They chase me in and out of the village with a lot of noise every day.

Ah Geese.  That explains the agression.  The geese here look like this:

I've never seen a white Goose before.  I have seen Canada Geese up close.  Was once chased away by a small flock of them.  I was taking pictures of them and got too close.

They have some grey ones here too but not Brantas. Canada geese are beautiful.

One of my friends used to have an attack goose. She was feared throughout the neighborhood.

At first I tried not to increase my pace. I am a 6'7" man and running away from couple of birds in full view of the villagers here did not feel right ). I lost though, now I run every time. Everyone does.

Having been chased by geese myself, I completely understand. They are a rapacious lot - hard, merciless warriors.

I thought I was also a hard descendant of the vikings, but they are the descendants of the dinosaurs as one of my other friends reminded me here and they win.

LOL, that is exactly the kind of person who should run fastest from geese. If you were a five-foot granny with a stick, they'd be much more wary, I'd bet :-D

I agree. I run from five-foot grannies with a stick faster than I do from the geese. Come to think of it I seem to run away a lot.
