There were a couple of hundreds of storks on the trees along the road to the village today in the evening. It felt very unusual to drive between the trees and utility poles richly covered in these large birds. I only took a couple of shots with my phone because I did not want to disturb the guys. There are eleven storks in this shot, can you find all of them? The tiny white specks on some trees in the woods at the back are storks too but those do not count.

I am not sure I understand your explanation correctly but I don't think you found all of them correctly from what I understand ).

4 on the telephone pole.  6 on the tree in the foreground (the big tree on the right of the photo) And one in the smaller tree that is behind the bigger tree on the right.

The last one is also on the same big tree on the same big tree on the right where the other six are, a bit above them. I cannot see the smaller tree behind the bigger tree at all, ha ha.

Ha!  Had to look again but it appears you're right they're 7 in one big tree.  It's all the trees in the distance that confused me I think.  Also those black specks in the distance which I assume are more birds.

Yes, that's why mentioned that those specks in the background do not count. ) It only makes sense if the viewer can definitely say if it is a stork or not.

I love storks. They're solidly in the charismatic megafauna category.

Yes, they are my favourites here and there are a lot of them here. A couple of hundreds of them in the trees along that short road looked very unusual.
