Homophobia and racism

I wanted to take a picture of the couple on the right but the checked shirt guy was determined to make sure that I did not forget Orlando and jumped into the shot.

He seemed convinced that I was key to stamping out homophobia and racism and kept jumping into every shot I was trying to make there.

It was a busy week, both London Gay Pride and Brexit referendum week. And it is Oxford Circus, something is always going on there, somebody always protests or preaches something there (at the very least you will have a couple of beatboxers).

I am unlikely to be mistaken for a magazine photographer with my point-and-shoot camera I think. I think he wanted people to share the pics on social media as much as possible, these days it can be as good for publicity as the papers. He probably hoped that I was one of those people with hundreds or even thousands of followers on facebook, instagram, twitter, etc. He probably wouldn't have bothered if he knew that I just have a journal on a site that almost nobody goes to these days and have only seventy something friends (meaning that probably about 20 are reading the journal every now and then), ha ha.
