That's a lot of rainbow! Hands and arms and face too! And I just noticed the person behind her also sporting much rainbowness. What happened, the other person said "look, I'll get all rainbow-y, but I'm not going to walk with you, that will just look silly"?

Quite the opposite. Their third equally rainbowy gang member got lost behind and she turned back to look for them in this busy street.

Oooo your wording now has me imagining them as a gang, hassling people on the street. Maybe singing "when you're a rainbow, you're a rainbow all the way, from your first face painting til your last dying day"
