What about the troubadour... Here, in Costa Rica, the tradition of serenades under the balcon of your beloved - is still alive. Sometimes a trumpet's sound wakes me at 3 am, and I wonder if it's already the angel's trumpet announcing the Judgement Day or just a serenade.

In San Jose, there is "La casa de trovatores" - the office where you can order a serenade. Several vacant musicians in exotic costumes are always at the door...

That's pretty awesome, especially the part about ordering a serenade. I think if I serenaded someone myself it would only make things more difficult for me (if not impossible).

That's true.  I have been seeing a lot of blue and violet hair over vibrant red even here.

Yeah, red is becoming rare. I think it is temporary and it will be back in soon.

But if your beloved is latin-american, especially of an older age (remembering old good times) you'll definitely win her heart. They like a gesture, and not a Berliner Philarmoniker quality.

And if you are as tall as you say, you'll be able to sing directly into the balcony, face to face. So don't be discouraged, you have your advantages.

I doubt it would win her heart but I am quite convinced it would leave her deaf. Also one would want me to be as far as possible from the when I am singing so my height would not be an advantage here I think.

Often the way of fashion and fads.  Here today gone tomorrow back again in 10 yrs time.  Or 20yrs time.  I remember when neon, big hair, and tight leggings were the "in" thing in the 80s.  Now it seems to be making a comeback.  Atleast here.

Ha!  Lord now that is a spectacular poodle perm with I am sure must be 2 to 3 bottles of hair net hair spray in it. 

I don't think it'll be much longer before it makes a come back.
