Man, that's spectacular.
I was at a whole bunch of Buddhist temples recently and they all had huge NO PHOTOGRAPHY signs everywhere, which made me sigh.

Thanks, man. Yeah, this one had "No photos" signs too I think. I take every single opportunity not to respect those in public places like museums for example. And when I am caught like I was at the National Museum of Macedonia in Skopje (they survey via hidden cameras KGB style so that nobody takes a picture of a Roman statue) I refuse to delete the photos I took and just watch them go into meltdown, threaten me with police, etc. They never call the police and I always walk away with all my photos.

Huh. I'm not sure I have the confidence to do that, but it's interesting to know.

Yeah, this is not for everyone. And many people just feel that it is wrong to break the rules. I would never argue that the 'no photos' policy is wrong in principle (although I do feel that in most cases it is ridiculous) and advocate for everyone to break the rules but I feel comfortable and at peace with myself doing it myself. It won't take long for restriction on photos in museums, etc to become history and secretly I will miss it. It makes taking photos much more fun than simply elbowing your way to the front through a pool of Japanese kids taking selfies.

Man you wouldn't take pictures in the voodoo shops in New Orleans they'd threaten you with bad MOJO instead of cops..and bad MOJO is scarier then a Louisiana state trooper believe it or not.

Come down to the Big Easy in December we'll go bug the voodoo priests and then go have some Hurricanes at Pat Obrien's.

I can picture the two of us, a viking and a vampire running down Bourbon Street from a bunch of voodoo priests, ha ha. And then facing them with my hammer and your bite. And all they have is a bunch of dolls. Poor voodoo priests.

True best to drink the Hurricanes before, I am more apt to go along with it all after having a few Hurricanes.

This temple is quite beautiful inside but it does not have much of an atmosphere, it is very touristy.
