Today's swim

We did this lake today. It was a great swim.

Looks like one of my dreams. I often dream about forrests and lakes. Ones that don't look like any here where I live.

I actually had a funny feeling when I visited Moldova and Romania for the first time that I saw it all already somewhere a long time ago but forgot about it. Even though my closest "connection" to this place would be that the queen of Romania (passed away about a month ago) was half Danish but I don't think that counts ).

I'd half forgotten that Romania still had a royal family! I just looked them up. Quite a story.

I also spent some time reading up on them.

Maybe you were a Moldovan in another life.  The soul I believe can live several lives.  It doesn't always depends on the soul.  Some of us choose to come back.

I think this is why we have deja vu.

I that is the case I wish I could remember at least some of the language, it would make my life here so much easier ).

What are the lakes and forests like around the place where you live? I have this image of Canada being full of immense natural beauty. Some of your smaller national parks are probably larger than the whole of Moldova. I did not visit many places outside of Toronto.

We have some large lakes here in New Brunswick much like the one in your photo here.  We are also a city on the bay of fundy so we have beaches too.  Highest tides in the world.  A few water falls. It's pretty here in New Brunswick.  Mind you I haven't been much farther then Montreal Quebec.  I've never traveled out west to Alberta or British Columbia.  When I went to Montreal I traveled by bus through New Brunswick and into Quebec.  There were alot of farms and alot of Forrest.   It was nice.  Long drive in a bus though.  9 hr drive but the bus stopped alot and there were a few transfers before Quebec.

Yes, Canada is huge. I think I will a devote a full year to explore it properly sometime.

You should.  It's a beautiful and diverse country.

I plan on exploring it more myself.  One day I'm going to do a cross country sea to sea trip.

Looks nice.

It is a great lake. It is only accessible on a tractor or by foot.

That looks absolutely glorious!

Are you still sticking to your view that there is really no reason for anyone to visit Moldova...? :-D

[identity profile] topum.livejournal.com 2016-09-11 11:33 am (UTC)(link)
As a normal tourist, probably yes. Unless you have a special interest in post-Soviet stuff, etc. This lake for example is only accessible on a tractor or by foot and is not something a tourist would ever see.

We swim every day here. There is a whole bunch of lakes nearby. This one is difficult to get to (you cannot drive there) and is full of wild life.

How serene (and cold) it appears.

[identity profile] topum.livejournal.com 2016-09-11 03:25 pm (UTC)(link)
It wasn't cold at all. I think it is this blue haze they have here this summer very often that makes it look "cold".
