Army of dead soldiers

Drought.

But this two-headed little guy at the edge is still alive.

An inspiring picture of a lonely, courageous flowere. And happy pseudo-birthday!

Thank you. I have never celebrated my birthdays, perhaps I can at least enjoy a pseudo one ).

My son who lives in California emailed me a very similar picture of dead sunflowers from the fields of the Central Valley, now stricken by their fifth year of draught.

Happy birthday! May the coming year bring you all good things.

The advantage of being double-headed: you always think twice.

[identity profile] topum.livejournal.com 2016-09-07 03:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't know, ha ha and I am ok with it, some of the best things in my life would not have happened if I had thought twice.

Same thing about me: the most radical and crazy solutions were the most fruitful, while the most careful steps were leading nowhere...

Mastering the art to know when to use your head and when to switch it off is hard but it changes everything.

[identity profile] diejacobsleiter.livejournal.com 2016-09-07 04:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Since the best solutions are headless, maybe it'd be wiser to switch it off forever? I'll try and later report you the results.

Those field of sunflowers look sad, except for the little one.

[identity profile] topum.livejournal.com 2016-09-07 04:48 pm (UTC)(link)
They do indeed.

I love fields of sunflowers. They have them around Toowoomba in Queensland and they're my own version of Sting's 'Fields of gold' But I've never seen a field of dead sunflowers like that, for all Australia has so much drought.

Isn't that little one with the two heads still alive just awesome though?

[identity profile] topum.livejournal.com 2016-09-10 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
And we watered the little guy.

Haha awesome *grins*
