Ok, quit killing me with all these lovely potential desktop backgrounds that make me yearn for sleep so I can dream I'm actually there.

Maybe five hours east. It's in the plans for next year, because there's a lot of logistics to concern us for such a trip. Yet, next year is still a long wait.

Five hours is nothing, man. Just get into your car as you are, drive there, have a dip in the ocean and drive back. Fuck logistics. Ten years is a long time.

I know five hours is nothing. 10 in a day is a little something, but our work schedules don't exactly congeal either.

I think the real problem is once I get there, I won't leave, and that's how I feel when looking at that picture. I don't need to get fired for job abandonment.

The more expensive the resort the quieter its beach is. The beaches of four star resorts are full of cheerful families and laughter but as you move towards those super luxury ones you start feeling like you are in that movie where everyone except you has just disappeared from the Earth. The guests are very full of themselves, are all about privacy and catching a glimpse of other guests is considered a horrific failure of the resort's management, ha ha.

Sometimes less is more. I could sit under that umbrella for hours listening to the waves roll in and out. Smelling that sea salty air.

I've an online friend who travels to Indonesia often with her Husband. They live in the USA but have family in Indonesia. It's a beautiful place.

It is and Bali in particular is stunning.
I always think that I could just sit under that umbrella and relax for ages but in reality I am absolutely bored on the second day and have to rent a car and go find some adventure ).

Yeah I'd be the same way after sitting in the chair for an hour I'd be getting restless and want to go find a nice little dingy pub that has some live music or something.

Hah, yeah. Upon seeing the photo, I thought "How beautiful! Wouldn't it be nice to be there" even though I was at a beautiful beach last week too (though not nearly that empty) and didn't really feel like sitting there for very long.

This is our nature. We always think we want to be alone somewhere peaceful but as soon as we are we will find a million reasons to go back somewhere crowded so that we can keep telling people how much we would love to be somewhere empty and peaceful ).
