I used to think that Nigel was politically extreme but not ultimately that foul, but I think he has now demonstrated that he really is a racist bastard.
However, I will definitely take our little island where openly being a racist bastard is a severe limitation on electability, over most other places.
Boris is lazy and arrogant and has spent a lot of time as a journalist trolling for reactions. But I don't really mind sharing an island with him. There are worse people around than Boris. There are probably even lots of worse people to be foreign secretary of the UK than Boris, although I'm quite glad the spectre of him as PM has receded.
