In Singapore they take their wedding pictures a couple of months before the actual wedding. We saw dressed up couples with small crews of photographers all over the city. Apparently the shoots can involve multiple costume changes over a couple of days. The pictures are given to the guests on the wedding day.

They do this in The Philippines too and not only do they do a pre-nuptial shoot, they do videos as well: http://jasonmagbanua.com/film/nikki-and-bj-2/. Not sure if the videos are an international thing, but... what an industry!
