Very pretty! One of my vampire stories mentions it.. I'll have to re-write it more detailed.. I wrote it without knowing what it looked like in 2005 lol
LOL I have no immediate plans to travel anywhere.. I just wrote this before the internet :) one of my vampires was brooding along the banks of the Siene, just because I'd heard of that river.
These two photos are not a fair comparison of Paris and London, it would have to be the Thames for London to be comparable with Seine in Paris but this is just Regent's Canal in Camden.
Well you never know what life has in store for you. We also did not have plans to spend half a year planting a forest in Moldova (quite frankly we knew nothing about the place at all) when we just made a turn here for a very quick look during our road trip through Romania ).
Wow, I must have passed that canal many times, and never knew it was there - or at least not that it was so long and the buildings standing right on it like that.
I like that the Seine has no fences at that point so people can sit with their feet in the water regardless of health and safety!

This is just across the canal from the Camden Lock Market. Many people take a boat to the zoo at Regents Park around there. You spent quite a bit of time in London, right? I am asking only because you once asked me if Singapore's skyline in one of my photos was London and I put you very firmly into a "very country girl" box ).
My father's family were Londoners, but they moved away in the 1980s, and since then I've only been occasionally on day-trips and for trade fairs and that sort of dull thing. I wouldn't say I ever knew the city very well, but it has changed so much that I literally don't know what has been knocked down and built: could be anything, and I only really recognise the bits that you are likely to see popping out of underground stations or on postcards. I remember Regent's Park and the 70's zoo, but I bet none of that is recognisable now...
I remember we drove through the centre of the city a few times when we were going on holiday to Norfolk, in the early 80s. I don't think that's a route any sane person would take nowadays! :-D
