Gates

Moldovans love a good gate. And they can be quite particular about it. You may remember this one (see here). Today I visited a family who must have put quite a bit of work into their gate too:



On my way back I saw a gate that had dolphins in crowns on it.

One of the things I admire about Moldovans is that they never let thoughts like "hmmm...that might be really ridiculous" stop them from sticking with and implementing their vision without toning it down. In all walks of life.

Often when a girl here decides that tonight is the night to look festive and seductive she goes all out and ends up looking like a cross between a stripper and a new year tree but she will hold her head up high and will battle through any mud road in ten inch high heels without batting an eyelash (the huge fake one).
