It seems that wherever you go in the world, fairground rides (especially the ones that move from place to place) are painted in extremely similar ways. This week will the 'Callington Honey Fair' in our local town. While this sounds like an event for artisan honey producers to show off their wares, in practice it's a combination of fairground rides and stalls selling cheap tat. (As you may guess, I'm not a fan...) And all the fairground rides look just like that.

I like the 'other side' photo.

Looks little more than a garish stage set. Sure the kids enjoy it though. It is always combined with crazy music and flashing lights.

This one is a particularly ugly one. They get the old ones from western Europe, which look bad already and refresh the paint here (whatever colours they have) and it often looks really bad, like this one.

It is my favourite of the two too.

Oh yes, stalls selling cheap tat are everywhere now. If even here in Moldova, the the poorest and least visited country in Europe (and second in the world after Papua New Guinea apparently) we get stalls selling cheap tat made in China and grapes (they are grape and wine mad here) grown in China, then there is really no place to escape this trash anymore. I hate it too.
