I always feel silly trying to take photos with the tablet. It seems like such a stereotypical Asian thing to so. XD
Are you originally from Singapore?

I wouldn't worry about it (and I think it isn't anymore).

I am half Danish half Norwegian living in London but I lived in Singapore for quite a number years (and am still connected to it and spend a lot of time there).

Just in case, it is not me in this photo, ha ha. I just have a series of photos where people take selfies of themselves, you can see all of them if you click on "More selfies here" above the photo in this entry. I am a 6'7" man ).

I am a middle aged Korean woman, so I already have a lot of stereotypes hanging over my head, haha. At least I do not have a perm yet.

Aha, I always assume that everybody on LJ is a woman unless proven otherwise... talk about stereotypes. You must be very noticeable in Singapore!

I think stereotypes are becoming a thing of the past very fast these days.

Yes, I am not only 6'7" but also almost albino blond and people in Asia do ask me if they can take pictures with me (I am always happy to). Not so much in Singapore or Korea but very often in Japan, China and India.

Yes, I realised this week that many users here assume that if you are on LJ you are a woman, which was a surprise for me. It came as a shock a couple of days ago to one of my long-term friends that I was a man. Which is rather strange, given my entries about coming to rural Moldova to drive a tractor, drinking bear from a bathtub with 37 local guy while watching soccer, skinny dipping with the local boys, jumping in the middle of fights and pushing people to the ground and especially this one (sorry!): http://topum.livejournal.com/52018.html. )

Haha, that is awesome.

Back when I first took husband to Korea, he was one of the tallest people there at 6'2. He got lots of photo requests. That was many, many years ago. Nowadays Koreans are much more used to tall foreign people.

One thing they like about me in Korea is that I can drink a lot without getting drunk. Boy, friday nights can get very alcohol-fuelled in Seoul, ha ha but I think we would still beat Koreans on that front ).

That was something to do after work a bit too often as well, not just Fridays!
